Acupressure points for anxiety



So what is acupressure and how can it help relieve anxiety?

Acupressure is used in a similar way to acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy or qi in the body. Acupressure can be self-administered using firm pressure with your fingertips on certain points along the energy meridians.


Acupressure can help to relieve a variety of symptoms from headaches, nausea, insomnia, and anxiety.

3 Acupressure points to relieve sneaky anxiety.

Acupressure Point P6 also known as Neiguan is located on the inner part of your wrist, about 3 fingers down from your wrist crease.


To access this point, you can measure 3 fingers down from your wrist crease, you should feel 2 large tendons towards the center of your wrist. Remove your fingers and using your thumb apply firm pressure, moving your thumb in a circular motion.


You may feel tenderness or aching, but it should not be painful.




Spleen 3, also known as Taibai, is located below the ball of the big toe on the outside of the foot. You should feel a depression between the white and red skin where SP3 is located.


Again using your thumb, you can also use your fingertip if that's easier, apply firm pressure, massaging the point in a circular motion.

Acupressure Point Du20, Baihui, is located on the top of your head in the middle of your crown between your ears.


Tap this point with your finger and massage with firm pressure.

Acupressure quick tips.

Rub each point with intention for 2-5 minutes. Listen to your body as far as pressure (no need to press super hard, more pressure does not equal better results) and overstimulation (if you feel sensitive or irritated after a few minutes, move on to the next point).
