Acupuncture FAQ

How much does acupuncture cost?

Each case is unique. During your free 15 minute phone consultation, we'll get an understanding of your needs and determine if we're a good fit to work with you. Estimated pricing and a treatment plan will be discussed at that time.

Is acupuncture covered by insurance?

Some insurances cover acupuncture for specific conditions. Our office will provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance. We do not bill insurance directly so we can give you the best care possible without the restrictions insurance companies put on treatments.

Is acupuncture safe? How does it work?

Acupuncture is safe for everyone. Acupuncture works by stimulating the body's own healing mechanisms. It creates a signal that goes directly to the brain and communicates something is wrong and the brain responds by sending the appropriate healing responders through your fascia, nerves, hormones, and gases.

Is acupuncture effective?

Acupuncture is effective for a long list of conditions. Our patients leave happy!

How long does it take for acupuncture to work?

Acupuncture works seconds after being inserted in the body. Results depend on your symptoms and how long you've been suffering. Changes are noticed with the first treatment but don't be surprised if you regress. It takes multiple treatments to retrain your brain and body to preform optimally.

How often should you get acupuncture?

Acupuncture needs to be done 2-4 times per week when first starting treatment to get the best results. You gradually come in less as your body heals. Maintenance depends on your lifestyle, age, and stress levels.

Is acupuncture safe while pregnant?

Acupuncture is a fantastic, drug-free option to use during pregnancy and is completely safe. Click here to see how acupuncture can help multiple different women's health conditions.

Do you offer talk therapy?

We do not offer talk therapy but love working with therapists and will refer you to one. We use acupuncture, herbs, and movement to address anxiety, depression, and other brain health problems.
